Teen Intro to Acting Workshop with City Youth Theater

Teens are invited to join Eric Clinton of City Youth Theater for a three week acting class on Saturday mornings. Students will foster acting skills through ensemble building and improvisation techniques, and will work with monologues and other text throughout the course. Classes will begin with physical and vocal warm ups. No previous experience necessary.

Eric Clinton is a talented graduate of Southern Connecticut state university where he received a bachelors in Business Management with a minor in Theater and a high school graduate of Greater Hartford Academy of the Arts. His charisma, charm and acting abilities have lead him to be in many shows such as, Seussical The Musical, Hairspray, Once on This Island, Carousel, Into The Woods, Higgins in Harlem, Rent, Godspell, and is a member of Never Say No Improv Troupe.

City Youth Theater is a not-for-profit theater organization dedicated to promoting the theatrical development of all participants. Based in Waterbury, Connecticut, CYT is open to high school, elementary and middle school students and is committed to developing theater skills that challenge each student to perform at their highest skill levels on and off the stage. The techniques shared during the rehearsal process are applied productively to any endeavor our students may encounter, whether or not they pursue a theatrical career, and help prepare them for a challenging, exciting world.
